Marketing Intern Position

Overview:

SPK and Associates is seeking a marketing intern to work under the supervision of the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and with others in the marketing team. A minimum of 5 hours, and preferably 12 hours, per week is needed. This is a paid position ($15-$20 per hour based on experience) and technology access will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

The Marketing Intern will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to the following:

• SEO optimization of marketing content for website and social media purposes

• Social media marketing, including posting and creating social media graphics and videos as required

• Monitor social media channels for inquiries and assist in engaging with the followers

• Marketing support for events

• Responsible for assisting the marketing team in growing MQLs

• Editing and publishing content regularly on our website and various social media channels

• Ghostwriting blogs based on interviews with subject matter experts where possible

Skills, Traits & Competencies:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Marketing, Business, Communications, etc.).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing concepts.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Eagerness to learn and contribute creative ideas to marketing initiatives and use creative tools such as Photoshop, Gimp, or Canva.

• Experience with Mailchimp, WordPress, and Zoho is a plus.
