Last time we discussed how a multi-cloud solution including both AWS and Azure might be just the solution your organization needs. Now let’s talk a bit more about the challenges attendant to leveraging both platforms at the same time.

Architecting both to play nice with one another presents a significant challenge. To do this, your organization might need outside help to get everything set up in a way that solves more problems than it creates. That’s because each has its own very specific architecture requirements, which your in-house team might not be familiar with.

However, it’s not as challenging as you might think. This is particularly true when leveraging higher-level interfaces and protocols. Rather than talking through backend channels, integrated through a networking perspective, you have separate networks that interface through their front ends.

When divvying up tasks, it can make more sense to focus on microservices architecture, rather than integrating both in a seamless or quasi-seamless fashion.

In our next blog post we will discuss the elephant in the room: Google, which is a relatively late entry into the field of cloud services, but one that people are looking at more and more.
