One SPK financial industry client found it needed to overcome complex cybersecurity compliance demands imposed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities Exchange Commission. To comply involved automatically collecting data about any unauthorized access attempts (possibly by hackers) made anywhere on the client’s huge network.

The access attempt data then needed to be harvested and analyzed to detect any potential security vulnerabilities or rising risks. Complicating the compliance initiative, the client relied on multiple financial service applications, which ran on various networks in several regions.

To save time and money, the client then turned to SPK, whose specialists selected the GrayLog2 as the network access monitoring platform. The system is now running and can continue to support the financial customer well into the future.
