SCOTTS VALLEY, CA – Christine McHale, Co-Founder and CEO at SPK and Associates, a leading woman-owned Engineering and IT Services Company, is proud to announce her organization has achieved the Atlassian Gold Solution Partner status as of late 2022. The status is awarded to organizations, such as SPK and Associates who have successfully passed the Atlassian certification and accreditation process, as well as achieved the appropriate sales volume of Atlassian solutions.

“By achieving a Gold Solution Partner status, we have demonstrated  SPK has both the technical and business expertise to work with Atlassian products.” Says Chris. “Additionally, it shows our expertise when it comes to integrating Atlassian products with other DevOps technologies. This absolutely aligns to our mission of helping companies accelerate their product development life cycle.”

Atlassian Gold Solution Partners are highly trained and committed to delivering business value to customers. SPK and Associates has been operating for almost 25 years and became an Atlassian Silver Solution Partner in June of 2021 before rapidly transitioning to the Gold partner status at the end of 2022. This rapid transition was assisted through the impeccable standard of successful implementations and Atlassian Cloud migrations of Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Bitbucket with several clients. SPK has worked harmoniously with clients to facilitate the migration of their on-premise Atlassian instances to the Atlassian Cloud. This has enabled better total cost of ownership and a focused Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) driven experience.

The journey with Atlassian started earlier than 2021 though. Edwin Chung, Director of Engineering Technology and Applications at SPK says “Because we were a trusted IT and engineering vendor for many clients in the medical device industry, we were working on their Atlassian on-premise environments for years. This would include upgrades, adding new marketplace plugins, completing architecture work by recommending ways to automate and streamline their operations,”  That gave us the foundational skills needed to become an Atlassian partner and grow our business with Atlassian over the past 18 months.”

SPK’s core expertise covers four functional areas: Product Lifecycle Management (MCAD, PLM, PDM); Software Lifecycle Management (ALM, DevOps); Cloud for Engineering (Infrastructure, Security); Data Engineering and Analytics. With its years of regulatory compliance work, SPK specializes in work with clients in the medical device, aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industries. With such a wide range of experience and understanding, SPK and its experts are well-positioned to support customers in reviewing their existing business processes and workflows and define potential integration points or methods of automation that would propel these companies and allow them to reclaim valuable engineering time.

“I’m extremely proud of the work our team has done to earn the Gold Solution Partner status with Atlassian. We were excited to be an official partner back in 2021, but we’re even more excited now to be providing our customers with a wider range of solutions with Atlassian products,” says Christine. “Our amazing team members are central to our success. They help our clients deliver value faster and with a higher quality than they had previously.”

SPK also supports clients that are implementing new Atlassian solutions including the review of Atlassian Marketplace apps, the addition and use of custom fields, the creation of custom dashboards and reports, as well as build or automate business processes around most Atlassian products.

The expert team at SPK have dozens of decades of experience assisting clients to bring their software to marketing. Furthermore, SPK also builds full-cycle DevOps infrastructure, from project planning and operation management to continuous integration, deployment, and feedback, with any third-party tools integrated. Finally, the company also provides managed services for many of the solutions it builds for clients, including those in the Atlassian realm, and provides L1-L3 support with 24/7 monitoring.
